Lyons Ballfield hosts many softball tournaments throughout the summer for girls, women, and men.  Below you will find basic information on this year’s tournaments. If you would like to be added to the email list for tournament information, please inquire at [email protected]

Teams can register one of two ways;
1. Print and mail attached registration form for each respective tournament.

Teams can pay two different ways:
1. Mail a check with registration form made out to LFCAA

*** Potentially hosting a USA Softball 23U National Invitational Tournament this summer the weekend of August 2-4. Registration would be $550-$600 and be a 3 or 4 game guarantee, but a different format than usual Lyons tournaments. If you are a 23U team and interested please reach out to us. We will re-evaluate in late March to see if it is worth trying.

All tournaments are scheduled based on availability on a first come, first serve basis.  Please inquire early!

Lyons Field Women’s Fast Pitch Tournament Rules and Regulations

ASA Rules will prevail with the exception of the following:

  1. All teams shall use their regular ASA season roster.  (NO PICKUP PLAYERS)
  2. Managers are expected to report to Field 1 to the tournament director upon arrival to register and receive their team packets. 
  3. Ground rules for each of the fields will be the usual ground rules of the field and will be specified at the start of the first game by the umpires.
  4. Warm up prior to a game shall be taken anywhere outside of the playing field fence.  No infield or outfield warm up except prior to the first game of the day.
  5. Games will start ten (10) minutes after the previous game is completed.  After the first game of the day, teams must report to the field one (1) hour prior to the scheduled game time as games may start early.
  6. There are NO courtesy runners.
  7. Coin toss will take place during the 5th Inning of the preceding game.
  8. Home Team – 3rd Base Dugout.  Visiting Team – 1st Base Dugout.
  9. Lineup cards are to be completed and given to the official scorer before the end of the preceding game.
  10. The ASA run ahead rule will be in effect.
  11. International Tie-Breaker rule will go into effect after seven complete innings, except for the championship game, which will not observe the International Tie-Breaker rule.
  12. In the event of rain, each manager is responsible for reporting directly to the tournament director at Field #1 for information about the rescheduling of games and times.
  13. The tournament director reserves the right to change any and all game times and fields at his discretion.  Play format may change due to weather conditions.  In the event of rain, every effort will be made to complete the tournament.
  14. Any protests must be submitted immediately at the time of the incident to the tournament staff or umpire in charge.  Protests will be decided immediately.  Rulings are final.  No appeals.
  15. The following seeding criteria will be used to determine the order of finish for the playoffs if using a pool play format, or in the event of rain to determine the tournament champion.
    1. Best Record
    2. Head-to-Head Match-Up
    3. Least Runs Allowed
    4. Most Runs Scored
